French flag being projected all over the world and facebook makes a French flag DP filter. I wonder why FB never created a Palestinian flag filter where hundreds die each month? Or maybe a Syrian, Iraqi or Afghan flag? A Pakistani flag after 16th Dec APS attack? Its exactly this “Selective” Humanity and Imperialistic mindset which leads to hatred towards the west. Other important red flags to keep in mind: someone who wants to jump into emotional/financial co-dependence very fast (like moving in together right away, or becoming each other’s only confidantes right away) and won’t take no for an answer; someone who tries to minimize how often you leave the house or interact with other people; someone who threatens you or themselves or your family or pets or possessions or financial future; someone who uses guilt to keep you from leaving a relationship.
Very important reminder: You do not need a reason to leave a relationship. Neither does the other person (or people). A relationship is over when one of the people in it says it’s over, period. Obviously it’s kind to take the end of a long relationship seriously, but abusers and manipulators have lost the right to that conversation. Lie if you need to–your safety is much more important than their feelings.

I hate that the Charleston shooting is becoming about the confederate flag and not about a white man killing 9 people
Like removing the flag is well and good an all. Destroy racist symbols and what not
But id rather we talk about how he was able to kill 9 unarmed black people walk away in a blulletproof vest and taken to burger King afterwards
You’ll notice when they couldn’t demonize the people he murdered, when even their murderer said they were the kindest, nicest, most open people, suddenly they had to find other stuff to talk about.
When they couldn’t blame it on mental illness because the Charleston terrorist straight up said ‘nope, I just hate black people’, suddenly they had to find other stories.
When it is a clear, explicit case of a fucked-up, evil racist of a white person murdering genuinely unimpeachable black folks, then and only then do we discover the story isn’t even about the massacre, it’s about the flag he sometimes wore/carried in photos.
Whiteness is protecting itself by any means necessary.
